Rukmana Bali Tour · Denpasar
A private car and driver-guide from Rukmana Bali Tour for five stops: the Sacred Monkey Forest, the Campuhan Ridge Walk, Tegallalang, the Teba Sari coffee farm and an hour at Tegenungan Waterfall. Pick it for the ridge walk, the one stop the other cheap Ubud tours leave out.

Rukmana Bali Tour is a small local operator with several listings on Viator; this one is the version with a walk in it. The listed day runs Sacred Monkey Forest (two hours), Campuhan Ridge Walk, Tegallalang Rice Terrace, the Teba Sari agrotourism garden and Tegenungan Waterfall, an hour each. You get an air-conditioned car, an English-speaking driver who doubles as your guide, water and onboard Wi-Fi. Nobody else joins.
Read the options before you book. Transport only is the car and driver; you pay every gate in cash. Inclusive Tour Without Lunch covers the entrance tickets, and lunch is still yours. On Viator the stops show "free admission", which is a label, not a free ticket: an adult on Transport only hands over about IDR 130,000 at the Monkey Forest, IDR 30,000 at Tegenungan and IDR 15,000 to 20,000 at the Tegallalang booths, so roughly IDR 180,000 (about $11) a head. The Tegenungan fee guide has the current figures.
The $25 from-price is per person for the largest group on the cheapest option. Viator prices this in tiers, so a couple pays noticeably more each, and the Inclusive option costs more again; you see the real figure after choosing date, option and group size. Two honest caveats. Tegenungan is the last listed stop, and one guest wrote that traffic made them drop the waterfall to reach the Monkey Forest before it closed. And the coffee stop ends in a shop: guests report a free tasting, then a hard sell on kopi luwak.
The driver collects you in Ubud or the south. From Kuta or Seminyak count on an hour or more to Ubud in traffic.
Temples, banyan trees and hundreds of long-tailed macaques. It opens at 9 am; leave sunglasses and snacks in the car.
A paved path along a grassy ridge west of Ubud Palace. There is no shade at all, so this stop is far nicer early than at noon.
Walk down into the terraces. Booths and farmers at the path crossings ask for small cash donations.
A garden walk past coffee and spice plants, then a tasting tray of coffees and teas. Buying is optional.
About 170 to 200 steps down to the pool and the same back up. Wading or a swim happens only if the staff have opened the water.
★★★★★Hanging out with Monkeys. Hiking through the rice terrace. Taking a dip in the waterfall. Tasting delicious coffee and teas. Septa our driver made the experience even better. He was kind and flexible.
★★★★★[...] Had a great time from the coffee tasting to the rice terrace. My driver, Mr Bawa, was fantastic telling all the stories about the places and taking beautiful photos for me!
★★★★★Bawa was an excellent guide and adapted the experience to suit our group's needs. [...] Note that traffic can be quite hectic so keep in mind you may be stuck in transit for long-ish periods of time.
★★★★★The monkey forest and the waterfall were both my favourites. Our driver Merry was awesome took us to some extra places as well as it was my first trip to Bali.

Only on the Inclusive Tour Without Lunch option. On Transport only you pay each gate in cash: about IDR 130,000 at the Monkey Forest, IDR 30,000 at Tegenungan and IDR 15,000 to 20,000 at Tegallalang per adult. Lunch is not included on either option.
More than $25 each. The $25 is the per-person price of the largest group tier on the cheapest option. Two people pay a higher per-person rate, and Viator shows the exact total once you pick a date, the option and the number of travellers.
Sometimes. Staff open or close the marked wading area depending on the current, and it's often closed after rain and from November to March. The tour can't promise it. Our swimming guide explains how it works.
Easy underfoot: a paved path, about 2 km each way if you go all the way to Karsa Kafe. The hard part is the sun, since the ridge has no shade. On a one-hour stop you walk part of it and turn back.
