The lowest-priced Ubud day with Tegenungan

Rukmana Bali Tour sends a driver-guide with a private car to the Monkey Forest, Tegenungan, Goa Gajah, Tegallalang and the Ubud art market. Pick it if price comes first: it has the lowest from-price of any tour on this site, and you still get a car to yourselves.

Ubud Day Tour: Monkey Forest & Tegenungan

About this experience

Two options: Transport Only and Inclusive without Lunch. The $24 from-price is the Transport Only rate for the largest group, the cheapest way onto this list. A couple pays more each, and the inclusive option costs more. Viator's itinerary labels every stop "free admission". That's a booking-system label, not a free ticket: on Transport Only you pay each gate yourself.

Those gates: IDR 130,000 at the Monkey Forest, IDR 30,000 at Tegenungan, IDR 50,000 at Goa Gajah (sarong included) and IDR 15,000 to 20,000 at Tegallalang. About IDR 230,000, or $14, per adult. Lunch is extra on both options. Do the sum for your group, put it next to the inclusive price on Viator, and book whichever comes out lower.

The day runs Monkey Forest, Tegenungan, the Elephant Cave at Goa Gajah, Tegallalang, the art market and Ubud Palace, with an hour at most stops. Ubud Palace gets one listed minute, so treat it as a photo from the street. With 206 reviews this is a small outfit next to the big names. Most reviews praise drivers by name; one older review reports a driver who skipped two stops and forgot the water. Wifi in the car and insurance come with both options.

  • Goa Gajah's Elephant Cave, which most Ubud tours skip
  • An hour at Tegenungan, early in the day

What guests say

★★★★★

It was a long but satisfyingly wonderful day. The rice field was awesome, be prepared to walk down 160+ steps to get close to the waterfall, the recommeded restaurant was great as it had areas we could have done a photoshoot. [...] The art market was a great place to mingle with the locals and bid down on your souveniers and paintings.

★★★★★

The sacred monkey forest and the waterfall were great. We chose not to see the rice terrace as it was too much walking. We shopped instead.

The sacred monkey forest was the highlight. Our driver was Mr. Mery: friendly, informative, flexible--everything you could ask for. We both have mobility issues, and he was very patient and accommodating. Two thumbs up!
